We are seeking a skilled and reliable Steelworker/Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out steelwork and carpentry tasks safely, accurately and to a high standard. Key responsibilities Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications. Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and steel materials. Install structural steelwork, frameworks, supports and fittings. Carry out rough and finish carpentry, including framing, doors, flooring and general repairs. Use hand tools, power tools and relevant equipment safely. Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with project requirements. Work effectively with other trades and construction personnel. Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area. Follow all health and safety procedures on site. Requirements Previous experience in steelwork, carpentry or a related construction role. Ability to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements. Competence in using hand and power tools. Good practical, problem-solving and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Relevant training, certification or trade qualifications are desirable. Ability to work at heights and undertake physically demanding tasks where required.
