Job Description

TEAM OVERVIEW

The Deputy Head Caribbean will drive the success of the PCS Divisions in the jurisdiction across all aspects of FRAMEworks in order to sustainably deliver the Division and jurisidction’s KPIs. As a senior leader, this brings with it a requirement to role model the JTC culture, values and behaviours across the business and wider Group in addition to fully understanding the importance of shared ownership.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Ensure consistent delivery to existing and potentially new clients, of the highest quality of professional service and thus protect and enhance the Group’s reputation. Directly contribute to the profitability of the Group; meeting the Divisional and jurisdictional strategic and operational objectives set by the Group Holdings Board and the PCS Exco. This will include overseeing the jurisdictional board. Effectively lead, manage and motivate the senior management team and ultimately the wider Group, to ensure that all employees are suitably managed, developed and motivated to continuously thrive within their role and thus be able to demonstrate the required core competencies to be a JTC employee. To play an integral role in establishing and maintaining Group standards and values.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

BUSINESS STRATEGY

> Responsible and accountable for ensuring strong cost, risk management and business controls are in place to ensure the sustainability of the business in the long term in line with the JTC approach to growth > Identify, drive, develop and direct the implementation of the business strategy which extends to measurement of KPIs, resourcing and operationalisation (in collaboration with Group Ops). > Responsible for the success and growth of the PCS business in the jurisdiction.. > Plan and direct the jurisdictional activities to achieve /agreed targets and standards for optimum financial and operational performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence. > Effectively drive Cosmos (and future business plan) initiatives throughout the jurisdiction. > Ensure that there is effective collaboration between ICS & PCS.

COMMERCIAL / FINANCIAL

A. ORGANIC GROWTH

> Drive the commercial success of the business across the jurisdiction wrt revenue costs and profit. > To deliver and integrate initiatives to promote the achievement of operational, financial and business performance. > Manage and assess performance against agreed targets and budgets, thus ensuring all budgetary and performance targets are achieved and jurisdictional/office KPI’s are maintained. > Ensure effective resource management and budgeting to support the growth and activities in the jurisdiction and to support the global business as a COE.

B. INORGANIC GROWTH

> Involvement in M&A assessments in the jurisdiction from time to time to support both the organic and inorganic growth plans of PCS and the wider Group.

CLIENT DEVELOPMENT & RETENTION

> Responsible for client management and growth. > Maintain a “working” knowledge of all the jurisdictions’ clients, in order to nurture close working relationships with other Group directors, directors, associate directors and employees of the Group. > Member of board/divisional meetings, contributing to board papers/reports as appropriate. > Drive the JTC brand across the jurisdiction and create a marketing strategy across jurisdiction in collaboration with Group BD & Marketing > Act as an ambassador on key clients and client excellence

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

> Resource management and budgeting across the jurisdiction > Develop, coach and mentor the senior management team, providing guidance on the management of employees according to Group standards and policy; ensuring employee’s and division’s adherence to their contractual obligations. > Ensure a robust KPI & development plan is rolled out across the jurisdiction > Recruit, select, develop and mentor senior management team members. > Direct specific functions and performance via the senior management team. > Maintain and develop the Group’s culture, vision, values and reputation within the marketplace and in addition with all employees, clients, intermediaries and regulatory/official bodies. > Ensure that the spirit of JTC is engendered and shared within the Group. > Inspire and motivate the team to sustain the Group’s unique stakeholder culture. > Self-Development and ensure knowledge in relevant field at all times. > Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.

OPERATIONS & RISK

A. CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ENFORCEMENT / IMPLEMENTATION

> Execute the responsibilities of a Managing Director according to lawful and ethical standards, as stated within the Group’s own policies and procedures and those of the applicable regulatory bodies. > Ensure good corporate governance in accordance with regulatory requirements while aligning to the Group’s overall aims, business plan and long term strategy. > Provide any other duties as defined or deemed necessary by the Group Board.

B. REGULATORY AND FIDUCIARY

> As a Managing Director and being in a regulated role, you will have the responsibility to ensure JTC remains compliant to all applicable legislation and in good standing within the relevant jurisdiction and public bodies.

Specific named fiduciary roles include

> Managing Director with overall responsibility for the Board of Directors in the jurisdiction > Data Protection Officer > Trustee and Directorship on client structures > Be responsible for monitoring the regulatory environment and ensuring the business is prepared for new legislation and regulations that will impact the business in the future > To ensure business continuity plans and actions are in place to ensure business continuity plans are complied with. > To work with Group Risk & Compliance to ensure appropriate risk and compliance framework and culture in the region.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

> Work with Group ops to ensure that the region optimise, digitise and standardise processes. > Ensure an effective operational framework exists in the jurisdiction. > Create a global operational centre of excellence to support PCS globally

> PCS

> PCS and ICS senior leadership teams globally > Group Risk & Compliance; Human Resources ; Finance and IT > PCS and ICS Operations

EXTERNAL

> Own and team clients. > Regulators in the region/ jurisdiction > Other industry professionals such as lawyers, fund promoters/investment advisers, intermediaries (including stock brokers, listing sponsors and registrars. > External auditors for own and team clients
