Assistant Project Manager

Jairam Building Contractor is accepting applications from suitably qualified Caymanians and persons legally entitled to work in the Cayman Islands through residency or marriage for the position of Assistant Project Manager. The successful applicant will assist with the planning and coordination of construction projects, ensuring that schedules, costs, documentation, safety standards and quality requirements are effectively maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager throughout all phases of construction projects.
• Monitor project schedules, costs and documentation.
• Assist with site surveying, measurements and layout.
• Provide technical and operational support to field staff.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure materials and equipment are ordered and available when required.
• Monitor work progress and promptly report potential delays or issues.
• Help maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control and site safety.
• Assist with project records, reports and other administrative requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of five years’ experience within the construction industry.
• Practical knowledge of construction methods, surveying and site operations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with field staff, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Must be reliable, punctual and capable of working independently.
• Must be willing to work variable hours as project requirements dictate.

Salary: CI$4,000.00–CI$4,500.00 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
