The Carpenter/Mason will be responsible for performing skilled carpentry and masonry work in the construction, repair, and installation of wooden or fabricated metal structures and fixtures as well Block laying, concrete forming, supports, pouring and plastering/rendering in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and the Cayman Islands Building Code. The successful candidate must demonstrate precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Construct, install, and repair slabs, walls, roofs, doors, windows, cabinets, and other structures. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project drawings accurately. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using proper tools and techniques. Install framework, formwork, trusses, and finishing components as per design. Inspect and maintain tools and equipment in safe working order. Ensure work is completed to high-quality standards within project timelines. Follow all site safety procedures and company policies. Collaborate effectively with other trades to ensure smooth project operations.
Minimum 5 years’ proven experience as a Carpenter and Mason in residential or commercial construction. Solid knowledge of Cayman Islands Building Code and construction standards. Ability to read and follow plans, drawings, and technical instructions. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
