Job Description

Due to growing demand, we have created a new and exciting opportunity within the Mise en Place & Co events team. This role brings together sales, event planning, and detailed coordination. It requires strong food and beverage knowledge, excellent organisation, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences. The successful candidate will be adaptable and confident managing administration and sales, while also supporting catering and beverage operations when needed. Job Purpose This role supports the Event Manager while taking ownership of driving new business, developing client relationships, and coordinating events end-to-end. From first enquiry through to execution, you will combine sales, planning, and operational delivery to ensure events meet both client expectations and Mise en Place standards. Your time will be divided between office time and running events weather evenings or weekends. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively generate new event business and onboard new clients
  • Respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, and convert leads into confirmed events
  • Build strong client relationships and identify upselling opportunities
  • Support revenue growth through effective pricing, menu guidance, and service recommendations

Client & Event Coordination

  • Manage client communication from enquiry to post-event follow-up
  • Plan events including timelines, menus, logistics, and service details
  • Coordinate tastings, site visits, and client meetings
  • Ensure all event details are captured clearly and executed to plan

Event Planning & Operations

  • Create and manage event orders using Caterease (or similar)
  • Coordinate with kitchen, warehouse, purchasing, and external vendors
  • Support staffing plans, rentals, and operational logistics
  • Attend events as required to support delivery and ensure quality standards

Administration & Organisation

  • Maintain accurate event records, files, and reporting
  • Track bookings, deposits, and key deadlines
  • Support payroll inputs, gratuities, and event cost tracking
  • Provide regular updates to the Event Manager

________________________________________ Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in events, hospitality, or catering
  • Strong food & beverage knowledge (essential)
  • Proven ability in sales, client management, or business development
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident managing multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Caterease experience a plus
  • Hands-on, solutions-focused, and calm under pressure
