We are seeking a qualified AV technician to join and grow our team in Grand Cayman. Technicians will perform installation tasks for contracted projects including but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack fabrication and wiring, test/troubleshoot AV and control systems. The Technician could be expected to work with an installation crew as per project directives and ensure projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements. Technicians should be proficient and have a Certification in Control4 programming and installations, and Lutron Homeworks.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with AV installations required Control4 experience and certifications Lutron Homeworks Certified Performs service, installation, and activation of CCTV systems, surround sound systems, system components, speakers, TV mounting, Control4, shades and screens, and advanced lighting controls. Knowledge of cable types and technologies and can distinguish which types to use in installation scenarios Knowledge of setup of Networking requirements for Routers, Switches, NVR’s, Network Components, WAP’s, etc. Have in depth knowledge of audio systems operation, functions, and wiring requirements Experience with hand tools and power tools Ability to handle physical workload, working from Heights in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Very strong attention to detail and solid troubleshooting skills Knowledge of construction site safety regulations Must have valid drivers license and clear a police background check Must have valid passport as some travel is required Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
