Job Description

Prestige Motors Limited is seeking an organized, efficient Accounts Clerk with an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy. As an Accounts Clerk, your presence is crucial in ensuring the accurate management of financial transactions and maintaining organized financial records. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.

Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment logs, while ensuring timely processing.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including reconciliations and variances analysis.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies in financial information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and practices for increased efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an accounting or clerical role, with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Available to work on weekend and holidays as needed.
  • With a Clean Police record.
