Typical assignments will include participating in hedge fund and mutual fund liquidations (both solvent and insolvent), asset tracing, forensic investigations and litigation support. Knowledge of the investment management sector would be an advantage. The unique structure and culture of Kroll means that successful candidates will be well supported in their development, leading to significant early responsibility and autonomy in a dynamic, caring, and friendly environment. It is expected that suitable applicants will possess the following minimum qualifications, experience and personal attributes:

  • At least 2 – 4 years post qualification experience of forensic or insolvency work within a larger accountancy/advisory practice.
  • Knowledge of financial services and/or the asset management sector.
  • Experience in voluntary and/or court ordered liquidation (preferably administered under English-based insolvency regimes)
  • Currently studying or newly qualified chartered accountant or similar (e.g. CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA) with training from the big 4 or global B-tier firm.
  • Strong academic background, including education to degree level
  • Solid understanding of investment fund operations and structures and knowledge of multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance and fund documentation
  • A proven track record in Project Management with the ability to work on a number of concurrent projects to strict deadlines.
  • Experience on large and/or international assignments.
  • Strong IT skills, preferably including Microsoft suite as well as proficiency in management information and database systems.
  • Good organisational and self-motivation skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a potentially high pressure, client driven environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and well-developed analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Salary will be circa US$75,000 to US$100,000 (depending on qualifications and experience), plus eligibility for discretionary bonus, healthcare and pension. Remuneration for the above positions will ultimately be based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. Additional due to the global nature of the Investment Management Industry and the firm’s clients, it is anticipated that the above role might require a certain amount of travel.
