Driver

Our drivers do more than drive our vehicles, they are our ambassadors on the road.

• Job duties

o Safely load, unload, and transport rental inventory to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner o Demonstrate operation and safety features of rental equipment and determine customer’s ability to use the equipment o Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspection o Maintain the service and appearance of the transport vehicle, equipment and inventory o Follow delivery / pickup instructions from dispatch / Supervisor o Greet and assist customers as needed when in the rental area o Communicate with the supervisor o Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written and verbal form o Comply with government safety requirements and obey traffic laws at all times. o Attend department and safety meetings o Perform other duties as requested.

• Working Conditions:

o Frequent holding and grasping with hands when loading, unloading, and chaining down equipment o Frequent use of hands and feet to operate equipment and transport vehicles o Exposure to sun and extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes o Frequent lifting of up to 90 lbs o Overtime, weekend and night work is sometimes required

• Education, skills and requirements

o A high school diploma or equivalent o Valid Group 4 Cayman Islands Driver’s license o Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving a semi-tractor trailer carrying heavy loads o Clean driving record o Must have customer service training or experience o Ability to navigate efficiently o Attention to safety and detail o Must be able to lift minimum of 70 lbs o Must maintain a professional personal appearance o Must speak English clearly and write legibly o Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form o Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers and have strong communication skills o Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer and receive constructive criticism when necessary o Knowledge of the operation of construction equipment is required o Rental industry experience is a plus
