The HR Administrator is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, managing immigration processes, ensuring compliance with Cayman Islands labour and immigration laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This is a hands-on and varied role, partnering with managers and teams to deliver exceptional HR support, lead people-focused initiatives, and ensure all employees feel valued and supported across all Mise en Place brands. The successful person will fully support the HR Manager and will manage immigration, recruitment, and administrative tasks with accuracy, confidentiality, and care. Manage work permit applications, renewals, and liaise with WORC.
Ensure compliance with local labour, immigration, health insurance, and pensions laws.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and reporting.
Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
Maintain and audit our system to ensure full compliance
Employee Lifecycle Management
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, transfers, and offboarding.
Lead payroll and benefits administration in coordination with internal teams and external providers, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, pensions, and leave policies.
Recruitment & Talent Development
Assist in leading end-to-end recruitment processes, from workforce planning and advertising to interviews and onboarding.
Support the delivery of learning, development, and performance initiatives.
Coordinate employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, recognition programs, and team events.
HR Systems & Data Management
Maintain and optimise the HRIS to ensure accurate records and data management.
Use HR metrics and reporting to provide insights that support decision-making.
Help create and maintain a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Minimum two years experience in HR ideally immigration and HR and Recruitment.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is beneficial
Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., BlueBison, TCP, BambooHR, Workday, or similar).
Strong knowledge of Cayman Islands Labour Law, Immigration Law, Health Insurance Law, and Pensions Law.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, dependable, and self-motivated.
Experience in food & beverage, hospitality, retail, or FMCG is an advantage but not essential.
