TOURS COORDINATOR

Duties include

• Promote Stingray City, snorkeling and fishing tours by delivering brochures to different locations.
• Plan and organize transportation arrangements, refreshments, etc.
• Arranges pre-tour briefings.
• Participate in tours to ensure delivery of excellent customer service and the clients’ safety.
• Conducts post-tour evaluations, and reports response.
• Prices tours and determine the cost and the revenue generated by the tours.
• Promotes and generates publicity by using social media.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Knowledge of geography, Cayman culture/history and travel industry.
• Skill in negotiating to purchase the best service package.
• Skill in public relations and handling complaints.
• Skill in organization in order to coordinate several tours/excursions simultaneously.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
• Skill in sales and marketing.
• Knowledge of using credit card terminals and collecting payments.
• Ability to make accurate and fast decisions.
• Ability to pay attention to details.
• Math knowledge and the competence to use calculator.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Over five years of experience in the tourism industry. Excellent conversational skills. Personable, humorous disposition. At least one year with a Cayman Driver’s License. The ability to speak more than one language is a plus especially English and Spanish Vast knowledge of Cayman Islands History and Culture.
