  • Prepare elements of group financial statements and consolidations, with supporting analysis and reconciliations.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances and key performance drivers, providing clear recommendations.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting packs, templates and bespoke materials to support business and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Support forecasting and planning processes through data preparation, validation and analysis.
  • Drive improvements in reporting processes, analytics frameworks and data visualisation.
  • Provide first and second line support for finance systems, including Aderant Expert, BigHand/Iridium BI, Power BI and SQL-based tools.
  • Troubleshoot system and data issues, validate outputs and resolve anomalies to ensure data integrity.
  • Support system integrations (e.g. Aderant, Intapp, BI tools and HR systems), configurations, upgrades and testing cycles.
  • Translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions and technical specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, including use of SQL jobs, workflows and BI automation tools.
  • Support data governance, including data quality controls, metadata documentation and standardisation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Finance, IT, PMO and wider stakeholders to enhance systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end users on finance systems and reporting tools across teams and offices.
  • Support audit requirements and contribute to documentation, process mapping and project delivery initiatives.
  • Undertake any other duties or project work as required in support of the Finance function and wider business.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial reporting, finance systems or data analytics, ideally within a professional services or multi-office environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with working knowledge of SQL (T-SQL), Power BI and SSRS.
  • Experience with financial systems such as Aderant Expert and BigHand/Iridium BI (or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large datasets, identify trends and produce clear, actionable insights.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting cycles, including reconciliations and consolidations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to validate outputs and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for different audiences.
  • Ability to document processes, system configurations and controls clearly and accurately.
