Job Description
Responsibilities
Provide friendly and professional service to all guests by greeting them, responding to their needs, answering questions, and directing them to hotel amenities, restaurants, event spaces, and other services while creating a welcoming and positive hospitality experience.
Assist with bar and event preparation, setup, and breakdown by arranging bar stations, stocking beverages and supplies, setting up glassware and garnishes, and cleaning and restoring the bar and event spaces after service.
Ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness, sanitation, and health and safety standards. Follow all food safety and sanitation policies throughout each shift.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning of bar and banquet area.
Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional while working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Work closely with hotel staff to ensure efficient operations and an exceptional guest experience.
Wash, sanitize, sort, and restock glassware, and other dining room supplies to ensure they are clean and readily available for service.
Sweep, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of back-of-house areas.
Empty trash and recycling receptacles as needed, ensuring all waste containers remain clean, sanitary, and do not overflow throughout each shift.
Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries.
Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by management from time to time
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience working as a barback in a restaurant, bar, banquet, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
