Driver/ Operator

Do you enjoy hands-on work, operating heavy equipment and seeing the results of a hard day's work? We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Driver / Operator who takes pride in their work, looks after the equipment entrusted to them and enjoys being part of a team that gets the job done. This is a hands-on, physically demanding and primarily outdoor role. You will work across active construction sites, operate different types of heavy equipment, transport materials and help keep projects moving safely and efficiently. It won't always be easy—but for the right person, it is an opportunity to take ownership of your work, build your skills and grow within a supportive team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

a) Safely operate bulldozers, excavators, loaders and dump trucks for excavation, grading, hauling and other site activities. b) Transport materials and equipment safely between construction sites and other required locations. c) Complete pre-operation safety inspections and routine maintenance, taking pride in keeping assigned equipment in good working condition. d) Prepare work sites by clearing debris, levelling terrain and excavating, and safely load and unload materials as required. e) Maintain accurate daily records of equipment use, fuel and maintenance. f) Follow all site and equipment safety requirements, promptly reporting hazards, defects or equipment malfunctions. g) Work collaboratively with site teams while being able to take responsibility and work independently when required. h) Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, colleagues and other site personnel.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High School Diploma with previous experience operating heavy equipment within construction or a related environment.
• Strong understanding of equipment safety, inspections and routine maintenance.
• A dependable, safety-conscious individual who takes ownership, follows instructions and looks after equipment.
• Physical ability to work outdoors, remain on your feet for extended periods and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, public holidays and varying shifts when operationally required.
• Valid Cayman Islands Group 4 driver's licence required.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Salary: CI$12 to $20 per hour Working Hours: Monday to Saturday |50 hours per week, with overtime paid at the legally prescribed rates for hours worked beyond nine per day or 45 per week.
