Perform routine maintenance and repairs on properties, including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and basic electrical work. Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs. Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and costly repairs. Perform light servicing and minor repairs of home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, stoves, microwaves, air conditioning units, and water heaters. Replace filters, bulbs, batteries, and worn components as needed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants, residents, or management. Maintain outdoor areas including cleaning, minor landscaping, and upkeep of walkways. Ensure tools, materials, and maintenance supplies are organized and in good condition. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs when required. Keep records of maintenance work completed and report major issues to management. Follow health and safety standards at all times.
Proven experience in property maintenance, handyman services, or a similar role. Knowledge of electrical systems, and appliance servicing. Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs independently. Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy items when required. Strong time management and problem-solving skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision. Valid driver’s license preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2+ years of maintenance or repair experience preferred.
