Skills Required Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience working in a commercial kitchen or high-volume catering environment. Knowledge: Strong understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy supplies (up to 50 lbs), and work comfortably in a hot, fast-paced kitchen. Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction well from chefs and supervisors. Adaptability: Flexibility to work under pressure and adapt to changing daily catering demands. Job Duties and Responsibilities Food Preparation: Assist chefs with basic food prep tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, and meats. Cleanliness & Sanitation: Maintain a spotless work environment by sanitizing prep stations, washing dishes, cleaning cooking equipment, and sweeping/mopping floors. Inventory & Storage: Receive ingredient deliveries, organize the pantry and walk-in coolers, and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) to minimize waste. Waste Management: Safely dispose of trash, recycling, and food waste in accordance with local health department regulations. Operational Support: Assist with packing and loading catering orders into delivery vehicles and maintaining an organized workflow during peak hours. Work Hours, Salary & Benefits(In strict accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Law) Work Hours: Standard work week of up to 9 hours per day or 45 hours per week. Salary: Starting at CI$8.75 per hour (minimum) Pension, Health Insurance and Vacation.
