The ultimate goal of the Kitchen Helper/Maintenance Person is to help enable all of our restaurants and catered events to succeed in every way – to help us create “Raving Fans” from our Guests, from our Team Members, and from our Investors. This position is critical to our success. You will be responsible for anything and everything as it relates to the successful and ongoing maintenance of our restaurants – as well as helping with the smooth operations of our restaurants, from driving and moving equipment and product to cleaning and repair tasks at all locations where TTRG may work. Your performance is a very important part of our ongoing goal to exceed guest’s expectations. You will have a variety of “managers” depending on for which restaurant you are working, and you will work closely with the Owners to make our restaurants the best on the island!
Your primary responsibility will be to work as a cooperative and supportive team player. Your goal, along with the rest of the kitchen staff, will be to consistently prepare, produce and deliver the highest quality of product by following recipes to their exact specification in the shortest possible time.
Your additional responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following tasks:
Due to the wide range of responsibilities, we require all candidates to have 4 years restaurant kitchen experience. You will be required to attend the C.I. Government’s Sanitation Seminar, even if you already have a certificate in this area. Additionally, we require all candidates to have a moderate amount of handyman experience. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, fun and possess good interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have a current Cayman Island Driver’s license.
This position requires great flexibility in regard to scheduling. You may be required to work long hours, a split-shift schedule and to be “on call”. You should expect to work at least 40-45 hours per week, which will include holidays and weekends, and may involve a great deal of overtime hours – though your scheduling may well fluctuate due to seasonality.
