Position: F&B Barista Report on Relationship: Restaurant Manager Location: ONE GT, Grand Cayman - Goring Avenue Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands KY1-1105 Work Type: 100% On-Site Position Summary: F&B Barista is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences through professional, courteous, and efficient service. This role involves taking and serving food and beverage orders, ensuring guest satisfaction, promoting upselling opportunities, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in Barista station and the dining area. The Barista plays a key role in representing the hotel’s service values and ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the spirit of “Caymankind. Core Responsibilities
Greet customers promptly and warmly.
Recommend daily specials, seasonal drinks, or signature beverages.
Manage service flow at the café-bar to ensure timely, attentive guest care.
Follow the café’s service steps and drink preparation sequence consistently.
Read guests and adjust interactions to match their preferences and the occasion.
Upsell beverages, food items, and add-ons to increase sales and average spending.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coffee, tea, and beverage trends and techniques.
Confirm guest allergies and dietary restrictions when taking orders.
Assist team members and maintain clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff.
Update guest profiles for preferences and special occasions.
Take orders accurately and efficiently either at the cashier or a table.
Maintain high guest satisfaction by addressing needs and feedback.
Inspect beverages for taste, quality, and presentation before serving.
Maintain a clean, organized bar area and side stations.
Respond promptly to guest requests and assist with refills.
Ensure Compliance & Safety: Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations and company policies. Follow as well as implement and review/monitor the
Cash handling procedures established by the Hotel.
Train and mentor team members on beverage preparation, service standards, and guest interaction (Lead Barista/Trainer
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Food & Beverage or hospitality certification (preferred).
Formal coffee, tea, or beverage training/certification preferred
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Barista or in a F&B service role in a café, restaurant, or hotel setting.
Experience training or mentoring team members in beverage preparation, service standards, or guest interaction.
Proficiency with POS systems and handling cash/credit transactions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high beverage and service standards.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues across different areas as needed.
Passion for coffee, beverage innovation, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Renumeration / Benefits
Renumeration range KYD 6.56 to KYD 8.75/hour Plus Gratuities, DOE
Health Insurance - The Company will cover 50% of the SHIC plan
Pension Contributions - In accordance with the National Pensions Law
Vacation - Vacation accrual will commence on your hire date and will accumulate progressively as you continue your employment. In your first year of employment, you are eligible to accrue up to 10 days of vacation. In your Fifth (5th) year of employment, this will increase to 15 days of vacation.
