Job Description

Functions as a skilled-level forklift mechanic, Algae X diesel Fuel Cleaning, Parker High Pressure Hydraulic Hose Fabrication who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair.

Essential Duties

Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with marine power and factory standards. Disassembling, replacing, calibrating, adjusting, and or rebuilding engine and components. Work with high pressure compressed air ~reathing equipment, perform repairs, malfunctions and diagnosis Work with generators and electricity, perform repairs, malfunctions and diagnosis Work with highpressure hydraulic oil pressure, hoses, facbrication, repairs, malfunctions and diagnosis. Weld both gas and stick, fabrication with metal and wood Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repairs. Valid drivers license and no criminal record. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tag parts of the job if requested by the customer. Examines customers property if futher safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicates with service supervisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order, including and acturate and legible customer complaint, cause and correction as performed. Returns repair orders to service supervisor at end of day. Contacts technical hot lines to assist in diagnosis of unusual problems. Test vehicle or equipment before and after required repairs. Participates in manufactureer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events. Attends dept. meetings and on-site factory training.

Keeps abreast and maintains file of maunufacturer technical bulletins

Supervises work of any mechanic helpers assigned. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to service supervisor. Ensures customers property is kept clean. Notifies service supervisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the customers property. Keeps shop area, vehicle, tools and equipment, clean, neat, working and repaired. Maintains and is accountable for all marine power-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports all safety issues immediately to management. able to swim, work in confined areas, not get sea sick as we work around boats, docks and water, work at heights over thirty feet Job Exemption Information This Job has an exemption?
