Senior Associate

Baker and Partners is a leading independent offshore disputes practice with offices in Jersey, London, BVI and the Cayman Islands. We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our growing Cayman team. The role You will work on high-value, complex and multi-jurisdictional matters, including insolvency, restructuring, asset recovery and commercial litigation. Responsibilities include case management, drafting pleadings and submissions, attending client meetings and hearings, and supporting Partners on strategic matters. Opportunities for advocacy will be available as experience develops. You will provide support and assistance to more senior lawyers/Partners in the firm to enable them to give a consistently excellent level of service to the firm’s clients including: o The identification of the legal and factual issues in cases o Assisting to produce and implement a clear plan for how the client’s aims can be lawfully achieved o Refining issues of law or fact About you

• 6+ years’ PQE (offshore or international firm preferred)
• Strong experience in commercial litigation and/or insolvency
• Excellent drafting, research and organisational skills
• Commercially aware, client-focused and a strong team player
