Job Description
Oceancrest Capital is seeking a Senior Operations & Systems Lead (SOSL) to take ownership of the firm's operational infrastructure and help shape its next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Founder and investment team this is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and continuously improving the firm's operations, compliance, reporting, technology, and client service functions. The SOSL will drive operational excellence across the organisation, ensuring critical processes are scalable, efficient, and aligned with the firm's strategic objectives. Operating within a lean and entrepreneurial environment, the successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, taking accountability for key business functions while leading initiatives that strengthen the firm's infrastructure and support future growth. This opportunity is well suited to a professional with experience in audit, fund administration, asset management, wealth management, or family office environments who is seeking broad responsibility, meaningful ownership, and direct influence on the success of a growing investment firm.
Key Responsibilities
Lead board reporting, budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic operational initiatives.
Oversee transfer agent activities, NAV reporting processes, and key fund administration relationships.
Maintain operational procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Internal subject matter expert for the firm's reporting platform (SS&C Black Diamond).
Produce and maintain client, portfolio, allocation, performance reports and statements.
Support the preparation of investor presentations, factsheets, and marketing materials using approved performance data.
Coordinate reporting requirements for family office and institutional clients.
Own and oversee client onboarding processes, working with administrators, custodians, banking partners, and other service providers to ensure a seamless client experience.
Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the firm's CRM platform.
Develop CRM architecture including prospect pipeline processes, workflows, engagement activities and reporting.
Track business development activity, referrals, events, and investor engagement.
Develop metrics and reporting to support pipeline management and growth objectives.
Own the firm's regulatory reporting calendar, compliance monitoring activities, and related governance processes.
Coordinate ongoing compliance activities with external regulatory and AML service providers.
Own AML/KYC processes, client onboarding, and record maintenance.
Lead policy reviews, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), cybersecurity documentation, audit readiness and lead regulatory inspections.
About You
Applicants must possess the following requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Economics
Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an audit or operations environment specifically in investment management, alternative investment, hedge fund, family office, or wealth management operations would be advantageous.
Strong systems and process improvement skills.
Experience implementing or managing CRM platforms and operational workflows.
Solid understanding of AML, KYC, regulatory compliance, governance, and risk management processes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a growing business environment.
Familiarity with SS&C Black Diamond or similar reporting platforms would be advantageous.
Experience working with regulatory frameworks in multiple jurisdictions.
Salary and Benefits The salary will be in the range of USD 120,000 – USD 130,000 per annum. Benefits include health insurance, pension plan, vacation, and eligibility for an annual discretionary performance-based bonus.
