Janitor/ Cleaner

Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all areas, including residential living spaces and commercial office areas.
• Clean and sanitize kitchens (sinks, counters, stovetops, appliance exteriors) and office break rooms.
• Clean bathrooms and restrooms, including toilets, urinals, showers/tubs, sinks, mirrors, floors, and partitions.
• Empty, clean, and re-line trash and recycling receptacles in homes and offices.
• Dust furniture, blinds, baseboards, shelves, and high-touch surfaces.
• Spot clean walls, doors, glass, and mirrors.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks such as baseboards, interior windows, and appliance detailing when required.
• Restock restroom and break room supplies (soap, paper products, etc.).
• Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas in both residential and commercial environments.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and auto-scrubbers.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards.
• Perform light maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Lock and unlock facilities as assigned and secure all designated work areas.
• Maintain respect for clients’ homes, privacy, belongings, and office property.

Qualification

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleaning standards.
• Knowledge of safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and scrubbers.
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning checklists and schedules.
• Good communication skills and respectful.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (bending, lifting, standing, etc.).
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and respect personal and office property.
