About the Role As the first person patients meet at Doctors Express, the Doorman sets the tone for their bentire visit. We are seeking a proactive, people-oriented Doorman to maintain a safe, welcoming, and orderly front entrance. This role suits a collaborative, reliable professional with a polished appearance and a "Can Do" attitude who takes pride in delivering an exceptional first impression.
Patient & Visitor Welcome: Greet individuals with genuine empathy and kindness; assist with transportation coordination (e.g., calling taxis) as needed. Mobility Assistance: Safely assist patients to and from vehicles and transport mobility-limited individuals through clinical areas using wheelchairs. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all entrants utilise hand sanitiser and vigilantly report safety, security, or safeguarding concerns. Logistics & Facility Flow: Maintain accurate visitor logs (especially for maintenance crews), verify/announce non-clinical deliveries, and keep the clinic entrance pristine and welcoming.
Experience: Prior experience in guest relations, hospitality, or front-of-house roles. A minimum of 5 years of experience (ideally in a healthcare setting) is highly preferred. Skills: Fluent in English (verbal and written) with excellent listening skills. Demonstrated diplomacy and the ability to handle fast-paced, stressful situations with calm professionalism. Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk for long periods; lift at least 35 lbs regularly; and safely push/pull heavy objects, including loaded wheelchairs over uneven surfaces. Assets: CPR/First Aid certification; manual handling or patient transfer training.
