Gardening Sales Representative

81 West Trading Ltd is looking to fill the role of a gardening sales representative who is a great communicator, has previous sales experience and has a pleasant personality to interact with customers. You will be expected to work outside in all weathers to accommodate the business and plant needs; therefore, humid conditions will be encountered daily.

Job responsibilities will include

• Assisting customers in the garden centre with all plant related enquiries;
• Previous plant knowledge is essential;
• Advising customers for purchases to suit their plant needs with full sun, partial sun, beds and pots;
• Advising the correct soils or fertilisers and chemicals for various pest issues the customer encounters;
• Checking out the customer using a PoS system including credit card terminal and converting KYD to USD;
• Tending to plants, watering, feeding and re-potting as they grow on site;
• Trimming and pruning in existing plants pots/beds;
• Ensuring the irrigation system is controlled for the various conditions.

The working week is Monday to Sunday, working 45hrs a week on a schedule. Cayman Islands driving licence is also advantageous. Punctuality and reliability is a must.
