EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Aviation Superintendent - Joint Operation Rubis Cayman Islands Limited, a company specializing in the marketing of petroleum products, is seeking to fill the vacant position of Aviation Superintendent for the Grand Cayman Airport Joint Operation in the Cayman Islands. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to

  • Operational Leadership

o Lead, direct, and supervise all aviation fuel operations at Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM), o Ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted aircraft refueling

  • Compliance and standards

o Ensure full compliance with RUBIS’ operational, health, environment and safety standards, Joint Inspection Group (JIG), and all regulatory aviation fuel standards at all times

  • Inventory and supply management

o Liaise closely with Joint Operation (JO) partners to coordinate supply planning, forecasting, and replenishment activities.

  • Asset & Maintenance Management

o Ensure all plant, equipment, and fueling systems are properly maintained, fully operational, and compliant with inspection schedules. Product Integrity o Ensure all aviation fuel handling processes maintain the highest level of quality and contamination control.

  • People Management & Training

o Assess workforce capability and identify training needs; coordinate and deliver training programs using RUBIS aviation resources.

  • Stakeholder Coordination

o Act as the primary liaison with the Airport Authority, airlines, Fixed Base Operators (FBOs), and other airport stakeholders.

  • Incident Management & Governance

o Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Customer & Partner Support

o Provide JO partners with accurate and timely operational data regarding their business activities. o Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring service excellence and responsiveness. Job Requirements

  • Candidate must have at minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or Aviation Fuels Management. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in aviation fuel operations, terminal operations, or downstream oil & gas operations.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role within aviation or fuel operations.
  • Relevant certifications in Aviation Fuels Handling or equivalent industry qualifications.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) certification is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of JIG standards and aviation fuel quality control requirements
  • Proficient with inventory management systems and fuel supply logistics.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on quality, safety and performance.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in reporting, budgeting, and operational cost control.
  • Proven experience working within Joint Operations (JO), managing cross-functional teams and multi-stakeholder environments is highly desirable.
  • Valid Travel Documents to attend out-of-country training

Remuneration Package

  • Base Salary CI$80,000 to CI$100,000 p.a. depending on Qualifications & Experience
  • 90% of Health Insurance paid by Company
  • 100% Pension contribution paid by Rubis Cayman Islands Limited
  • Standard 45-hr. work week, (~195 hrs. per month)
  • 25 days of paid vacation, statutory sick leave and other PTO benefits
