The MRI Technologist/Radiographer is responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce accurate, high-quality images while ensuring the safety of patients.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for MRI scans and select appropriate imaging techniques
Communicates effectively with diverse patients, providing reassurance, clear explanations, and guidance to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation during scans.
Monitor patients before, during, and after scans
Accurately record patient data while maintaining confidentiality
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot MRI equipment; manage supplies and inventory
Follow health, safety, and infection-control protocols
Assist with administrative tasks for example registration, insurance verification
Maintain cleanliness, security, and daily functionality of the MRI unit
Requirements
9 -10 years’ experience working as an MRI Technologist/Radiographer
Bachelor’s degree in Radiology & Imaging Technology
Must be registered and or registerable with the Council for Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM) in specialty.
Other requirements
Minimum of 45 hours per week, which will also include working as part of the on-call schedule.
Experience working with a 3 Tesla GE Architect machine will be considered an advantage.
Participate in ongoing professional development
Perform additional duties as needed
Benefits
Annual salary ranges from CI$66,000 to CI$84,000, with health insurance, pension, annual leave, and sick leave provided in accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Act (2021 Revision).
