We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Public Bus Driver to provide efficient and courteous transportation services across the Cayman Islands. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a public bus along designated routes, ensuring passenger safety, maintaining schedules, and delivering excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
Operate a public bus safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and local regulations Transport passengers along assigned routes and adhere to established timetables Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness Assist passengers with boarding and exiting, including those with special needs Collect fares and provide accurate change or validate passes as required Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior Communicate effectively with dispatch and report delays, incidents, or mechanical issues Respond calmly and professionally to passenger inquiries and concerns Follow all company policies and safety procedures
Valid Cayman Islands driver’s license with the appropriate class for bus operation Clean driving record with no major violations Previous experience as a bus driver or commercial driver preferred Strong knowledge of local roads and routes across the islands Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Physically fit and able to sit for extended periods
