We are seeking qualified Caymanians or Status Holders to join our team as a Pastry Chef. The responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:
Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items during peak service hours
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies for pastry needs
Clean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator, in accordance with health and safety regulations
Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates
Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fine dining kitchen.
Strong knowledge of various baking, cooking, and decorating methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Candidate will be required to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
