To supervise warehouse assistants including training and job allocations
To unload containers and store goods efficiently and carefully in their allocated location within the target unload time set by the Operations Manager and to be responsible for safety and security of warehouse stock. To assist in warehouse duties and take responsibility for a division.
To ensure that goods are checked in and out only in compliance with the Warehouse Procedure and that once stored stock is properly rotated and that stock with three months or less expiry date is documented and reported to the Operations Manager.
To pick products and prepare orders for dispatch in accordance with documented Warehouse Dispatch Procedures, ensuring that pick tickets do not rollover into the next workday.
a) In the event that goods are damaged record and report the damage immediately to the Security Manager and take any necessary damage limitation action.
b) To record any returned goods in the Returned Goods Register and deliver a copy to the Customer Service office.
To ensure that all equipment/vehicles are used in accordance with the documented Warehouse Health and Safety Procedures and that staff are trained accordingly and to report any problems with equipment/vehicles to the Operations Manager immediately.
To participate in the daily tidying and cleaning of the warehouse area and the weekly inspection of the warehouse by the Operations Manager.
To undertake other duties related to Operations Section or customer service as may be delegated from time to time.
