Prep Cook

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various dishes, including washing, chopping, and portioning.
• Prepare and portion food items according to standardized recipes and established guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations, ensuring all tools and equipment are ready for service.
• Follow instructions to ensure timely and accurate preparation of dishes.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify the kitchen management of shortages or needs for reordering supplies.
• Assist with basic cooking tasks such as grilling, sautéing, and baking as needed.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and a high standard of food quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation procedures.
