We are seeking qualified Caymanians or Status Holders to join our team as Food and Beverage Server. The responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:
Performing opening duties such as setting tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins, and replenishing condiments.
Attending pre-shift and general meetings to update knowledge of special offers and stock-related issues, and to discuss service and product matters.
Ensuring accuracy when entering orders into point of sale (POS) system.
Remember where to bring each order or maintain an organized record of order to which he can refer to.
Will be responsible for keeping beverages filled, following up with tables to see if their needs are still met and clearing plates as they’re finished.
Introducing yourself to guests and informing them of special offers and stock shortages before they select items off the menu.
Following up on food and beverage orders with back of house (BOH).
Checking on guests to establish satisfaction with product and overall experience and providing management with feedback.
Issuing guests with their check on request and greeting and thanking them sincerely on departure.
Performing closing duties such as sweeping and vacuuming and preparing linens for collection by laundry service.
Must clear tables of all plates, cups, and flatware after a party leaves, wipe down tables and properly re-set them with clean tableware and ensure that the restaurant maintains proper standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years work experience in upmarket or high-volume restaurant.
Menu, food, wine, and drink expert knowledge a must.
Computer literacy a must. Experience working with POS system (Aloha), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Strong mathematical skills.
Physically fit, agile, and dexterous. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Proficient time-management skills. Highly organized, with the ability to multitask while working under stress to meet tight deadlines.
Problem-solver with the capability to manage crises successfully.
Available to work shifts, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
