Job Description

Purpose of the Role Working as a mid-level to senior fee earner to provide technically sound legal advice on a range of issues, whilst building and maintaining productive relationships with clients and intermediaries. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and technically sound legal advice;
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with clients, intermediaries and team members, while providing excellent client service;
  • Prepare fee matter estimates and proposals;
  • Ensure timeliness of billing and debt collection;
  • Ensure effective management of time, effort and resources to maximise productivity and effectiveness;
  • Consider regulatory and compliance issues and report concerns where necessary;
  • Contribute to knowledge management and ensure such contributions are accurate and current;
  • Build knowledge and experience in relevant practice areas to the highest standards;
  • Support and guide junior team members while contributing to team development; and
  • Contribute to and participate in internal projects and initiatives led by senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 6+ years' post qualification experience in law specialising in corporate commercial work with particular exposure to downstream private equity transactions, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate advisory;
  • LLB (Hons) and strong academics, all with a minimum grade of 2:1 or equivalent;
  • Experience in leading on matters and supervising junior team members;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;
  • Effective time management and organisational skills;
  • Strong relationship management and client care skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team; and
  • Excellent drafting skills with high attention to detail and the ability to be succinct
