Job Description

The CEO directs F&G Cayman Re Ltd.’s internal and external operations, sets short- and long-term strategy, manages the CIMA relationship, oversees the annual budget and plan, represents the entity to stakeholders, and drives stability and profitability. Reports to the VP, Head of Reinsurance Finance, with at least one actuary as a direct report. Role is physically located in Cayman Islands on a full-time basis. Salary $230,000 - $240,000 USD Annually

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Board to set direction and lead execution of objectives
  • Liaise with and oversee interactions with CIMA
  • Collaborate with F&G shared services (Finance, IT, Actuarial, Risk) to support growth
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain talent; foster an accountable, high-performance culture
  • Maintain strong internal controls and risk "tone from the top"
  • Set strategic framework for reinsurance business lines; measure results against benchmarks
  • Oversee financial reporting, operational issues, and system build-out
  • Develop partnerships and pursue deals to improve profitability
  • Monitor market intelligence and competitive activity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; actuarial certifications preferred
  • ASA and MAAA or equivalent certifications required, FSA preferred
  • 15+ years of progressively senior executive experience in reinsurance, life, and/or annuity insurance
  • Track record directing new business and operational initiatives with measurable impact
  • Expertise in enterprise risk management, GAAP/statutory reserve valuation, and reinsurance transactions
  • Experience optimizing capital positions under regulatory and rating agency models
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills; established rating agency relationships essential
