The AC Service Technician is responsible for performing general and preventive maintenance duties, troubleshooting equipment, servicing and repairs (basic and extensive) of various types of air conditioning systems and other facility equipment in commercial and hospital settings in Grand Cayman.
Min 5 years' experience with maintaining mini-split systems, central AC systems and VRV systems. Experience in a hospital, medical facility or large commercial establishment is strongly preferred. Ability to perform general and preventive maintenance works in a hospital setting, namely Health City Cayman Islands locations Ability to review and report on system functions and the need for replacement parts or materials Strong attention to detail with demonstrated knowledge and ability to read blueprints and construction sketches as well as interpret manufacturer instructions, specifications and technical diagrams Relevant trade qualifications preferred Ability to work overtime, weekends and public holidays as needed (contracts may require hurricane preparedness duties, emergency monitoring and maintenance that may fall outside of normal business hours) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines Must have clean criminal record and be able to communicate in English effectively and professionally Prior experience working with Daikin systems, chillers and cooling towers strongly preferred Must be able to provide 2 verifiable references for employment history/experience relevant to the role
