Warehouse Person/Store Packer

Cayridge Trading Company Ltd. T/A Friend Ship is looking for a Warehouse Person/Store Packer to be responsible for the following:

• Restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing, and packing and unpacking orders, counting inventory, cleaning, organizing and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner especially at night. Night duty ---hours are from 7pm to 3am.
• Preparing finished products for packaging and delivery to stores, retrieve the items needed from the inventory, check that they are in good condition, wrap them securely, and pack them for shipping.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience relevant to the role.
• Physical ability to carry out the essential functions of the job, including packing orders, stocking shelves, standing, climbing, or walking the entire shift and frequent lifting up to 30 to 45 pounds.
• Ability to work any shift including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work in the heat of warehouse and while off-loading containers.
• Must have clean police clearance.
• Must have a High school Diploma, able to read, write and do basic mathematics.
• Must have a valid Driver License as the role requires operating warehouse equipment or company vehicles and to meet insurance requirements.
• Must be 21 years of age or older due to car insurance requirements.

• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Port ID
• Must be willing to comply with mandatory and random drug testing as required for port access
• Employment is contingent upon passing all required background checks

Working hours: 35 to 45 hours per week based on the seasonality of the business. During the high season the successful application must be willing to work overtime.
