A minimum of 5 years of practical accounting experience, with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) An internationally recognized accounting designation such as CA, CPA, ACA, or ACCA required A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field Proficiency in MS Office applications (expert level in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required) Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Strong knowledge and experience with IFRS and/or US GAAP The ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
Prepare monthly financial statements with well-documented working papers, for multiple or complex business units Develop and produce financial, analytical, and operational reports that support strategic decision-making Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, consistent with approved objectives Prepare and present management reports to senior leaders, delivering clear insights into financial performance, trends, and risks Perform balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards Prepare and submit monthly financial statements to the utility regulator Implement, maintain, and enforce robust financial controls and processes to ensure data integrity
