Pro Stars Ltd. T/A StarPro Recruitment Agency is seeking five (5) experienced Drywall Finishers to join our team for ongoing commercial projects across the Cayman Islands. The ideal candidates will bring solid technical skills, reliability, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. Position: Drywall Finisher Vacancies: 5 Location: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands Job Type: Full-Time (45 hours per week) Salary: CI$16.00 per hour Industry: Construction / Commercial Projects Key Responsibilities Execute complex drywall finishing techniques including multi-stage taping, multi-layer compound application, Level 4 and Level 5 finishing, and high-tolerance surface preparation. Perform precision installation and finishing of drywall on large commercial sites including hospitals, hotels, retail developments, and multi-storey buildings. Install, reinforce, and finish specialized drywall systems (soundproof boards, fire-rated assemblies, moisture-resistant and impact-resistant panels). Interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with commercial building codes and project specifications. Perform advanced drywall repairs involving structural movement cracks, fire-rated assemblies, and high-visibility surfaces in commercial environments. Apply machine-assisted sanding, mechanical taping tools, automatic finishing tools (Bazooka, angle heads, flusher systems), and texture sprayers. Install metal framing, resilient channels, corner trims, control joints, and specialty trims to commercial standards. Maintain strict adherence to construction schedules, quality assurance protocols, and safety compliance requirements on high-traffic job sites. Coordinate with site supervisors, foremen, and multiple subcontractor teams to integrate finishing work into large project timelines. Qualifications & Experience (Strict/High-Level) Minimum 7 years of verified experience in large commercial drywall finishing (residential-only experience is not sufficient). Demonstrated expertise in Level 5 finishing and the use of automatic drywall finishing tools. Proven ability to execute high-precision work on large commercial or institutional projects. Ability to read, interpret, and execute work from architectural and structural drawings. Solid understanding of commercial finishing materials, fire-rated systems, and soundproofing assemblies. Strong knowledge of OSHA or similar safety standards, including working at heights and lift operation. Ability to work under strict deadlines with minimal supervision in technically demanding environments.
