Surveyor Assistant

As a Surveyor’s Assistant you will be required to work under the direction of the Land Surveyor. You must be physically fit to cut bush, carry equipment, carry and mix concrete for the building of survey marks. The fieldwork is usually done in the morning hours and once that has been completed the Surveyor will need to be in the office working on the survey plan and report. At that time, you will be required to do errands, which means, drop off and pick up documents at Lands & Survey, check the Post Office box and occasionally pick up cheques from clients. You will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of materials in the work vans and in the office. Must be over 25 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
