Gardener

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Gardener to maintain and elevate the beauty of the gardens we maintain in The Cayman Islands. You will be responsible for the health, growth, and overall aesthetic of all palms, trees, shrubs and lawns. The ideal candidate has strong plant knowledge, enjoys physical outdoor work, and pays excellent attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities include

• Carry out all aspects of general garden maintenance.
• Safely and competently operate garden tools. Including, hedge trimmers, blowers, string trimmers, chainsaws and mowing of lawns using a traditional and reel mower.
• Pruning palms, trees and shrubs.
• Monitor and identify plants with disease and pests.
• Weeding of planting beds.
• Basic knowledge of fertilizer & pesticide application.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid Cayman Islands Driver’s License and experience in pulling a trailer.
• 3 to 4 years proven experience in garden maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of plant care and pruning techniques.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs
• Able to work outdoors for extended periods in different weather conditions.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required.
