Job Description

Cay Construction is seeking a skilled, dependable, and hardworking Mason/Painter/Steelman to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of construction and finishing tasks while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism on every project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform masonry, painting, and steel-fixing duties on residential and commercial construction projects
  • Read and interpret basic construction drawings, measurements, and specifications
  • Prepare surfaces and apply paint, coatings, and finishes using appropriate techniques and materials
  • Install and secure steel reinforcement bars, mesh, and related materials according to project requirements
  • Mix, pour, and apply concrete, mortar, plaster, and other construction materials
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble construction materials as needed
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, and properly secure tools and materials to maintain a safe work environment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work sites
  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, contractors, and team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and contractors on-site
  • Assist with urgent or high-priority construction tasks when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in masonry, painting and steel fixing is required
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
  • Ability to accurately read measurements and use construction tools and equipment
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to perform manual labour, including climbing, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday - Saturday
  • Benefits: Statutory benefits provided
