Job Description

City Construction Ltd- is seeking to employ highly experienced and skilled Masons to join our team. We are looking for dedicated professionals capable of delivering high-quality work. Location: Cayman Islands

Summary of duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces prior to beginning masonry work.
  • Fabricate, alter, repair, and maintain walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, showers, counters, partitions and other structural elements.
  • Lay bricks or blocks in accordance with blueprints, plans, or construction drawings.
  • Review work orders and drawings to determine materials, work requirements
  • Lay out work using tools such as chalk lines, plumb bobs, measuring tapes, levels, and squares.
  • Mix cement and mortar using hand tools or mixing equipment.
  • Cut or break bricks and concrete using manual and powered tools such as hammers, saws, drills, or paving breakers.
  • Form and finish expansion joints and edges using jointers, edging tools, and straightedges.
  • Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, dump trucks, and flatbeds when required.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in clean, safe working condition.
  • Ensure quality control and field safety on all job sites.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations at all times.
  • Communicate with tenants and clients regarding required repairs or ongoing work.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions from the Lead Mason.
  • Be available for after-hours and weekend work when necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in masonry, concrete, or general construction work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Skilled in mixing and applying masonry materials and using a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Comfortable operating heavy equipment and adhering to safety standards.
  • Strong understanding of field safety practices and job site cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor.

Compensation & Benefits Salary: Minimum $13.00 per hour Salary: Maximum $15.00 per hour Hours: 45 hours per week Benefits: Health Insurance, Pension and Vacation provided in accordance with the Cayman Islands Labor Law.
