GENERAL HELPER

International Glass Cayman Ltd T/A International Glass Cayman is looking for a qualified, dependable, and hardworking General Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day operations involving glass handling, installation support, workshop duties, and general site assistance. The General Helper will support skilled technicians and workshop staff in the handling, preparation, delivery, and installation of glass products. The role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Skilled workers (Glazier) to prepare all materials and tools needed.
• Set up work areas with necessary supplies.
• Assist in measuring, handling and transporting materials (e.g. fiber glass).
• Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial glass systems.
• Safely handle, move, and lift glass and other materials.
• Use basic and power tools under the direction of senior glaziers.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Load or unload construction materials.
• Follow company safety protocols and wear always required PPE.
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
• Perform site clean-up.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
• Able to work at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Familiarity and comfort in using hand and power tools and machinery is a plus.
• Communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety rules.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job.
• Reliable transportation to and from work with a valid driver's license.
• Must work on weekends and on holidays when needed.
• With a Clean Police record.
