Job Description

Description of Job

  • Perform the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks for general cash payments, expense reports and withdrawals including setup of bank wires & payments on the company’s banking platform.
  • Preparation of month end consolidated “US GAAP compliant” financial statements and analysis, including all working papers and reconciliations.
  • Verify, allocate and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, bank investments and subsidiary accounts.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, comprehensive income cash flow statement of changes in equity and other statements.
  • Preparation of 10Q/10k documents relevant to quarterly SEC reporting.
  • Coordinates external audit, statutory audit and PCAOB review by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts providing working papers for auditors.
  • Maintaining corporate records including communications with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (“CIMA”) and Registrar of Companies.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present the status.
  • Preparation of Board books to be presented to the Board.
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
  • Assisting with other business projects and marketing activities

Years of experience: Minimum of 5 Years’ experience

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Accounting professional performing the above duties and responsibilities.
  • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field, ACCA/CPA/ACA/CFA professional designation, with at least 5 years relevant accounting and financial services experience.
  • Candidates with relevant experience in reinsurance industry, captive insurance and/or public company experience are preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEC rules and regulations, Cayman Islands regulatory environment and NASDAQ rules preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of US Generally Accepted Principles (US GAAP).
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end, quarter-end & year-end close process.
  • Hands-on-experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
  • Experience in preparation of Form 10-K’s, Form 10-Q’s and other EDGAR filings required under SEC rules and regulations desired;
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLookup and pivot tables.
  • Accuracy and attention to data and ability to produce quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and on weekends when required;
  • Highly professional with strong organization skills to multi-task and meet deadlines.

What We Offer: We offer a compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and the company’s performance. The successful candidate will earn an annual base salary of US$70,000 to $85,000.
