Recreation Assistant Manager

Assistant Recreation Manager Supports the Manager of Recreation in all aspects of the pool/beach and watersports areas, including overall maintenance, daily upkeep, cleanliness, parole, scheduling, internal audits, employee evaluation, sales and employee relations etc . Provides and models service behavior to guests and employees. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility. Position works with direct reports to carry out departmental strategies.

Qualified candidates must have

• 3 year experience in the recreation/health club operations or related professional area and a minimum of one year experience in a leadership capacity in recreation or related field within hospitality is required
• Experience working in a luxury 5 Star/5 Diamond resort.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Enjoying working outside in all weather conditions.
• CPR certified required.
• Must be 25 years of age or over with a clean driving license - As per company’s insurance policy, individuals who are at least 25 years of age and over with a valid driving license can operate vehicles.

Operate the company vehicle to transport guests to off property excursion sites, transporting pool & beach equipment and collecting supplies for the department from various locations across the Island.

• Preferred experience of using Micros, Opera and Microsoft Office, ADP, LMS, Parole, Evention
• High level of attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Knowledge of local weather patterns
