Physical Education and Aquatics Teacher

Role-Specific Requirements

• Swim instruction experience with a youth-based aquatics program and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification or equivalent qualification.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification; instructor-level certification preferred.
• Training or experience in progressive, inquiry-based, or student-centered teaching approaches; IB experience preferred.
• Training or experience within a US-based curricular framework.
• Demonstrated experience teaching aquatic and physical education in a safe and structured environment.

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject area from an accredited institution (Master’s preferred).
• Valid teaching certificate/license recognized by the Cayman Islands.
• Minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in an accredited school using a US-based or International Baccalaureate curriculum.
• Demonstrated experience planning, delivering, and assessing student learning.
• Experience managing a classroom environment and supporting student development.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning.
