Senior Client Representative – Conferences and Events

About the Company We operate a growing business-focused digital newspaper, the Cayman Independent, alongside the annual Spectrum financial services conference. These sit within the wider FTS Group, which also includes consulting and professional training businesses serving primarily the financial services sector. The Role We are seeking an experienced full-time Senior Client Representative – Conferences and Events to support the development and delivery of the Group's conferences, seminars and other professional events. The role combines sponsorship development and client engagement with conference content development, including researching relevant industry topics, helping to shape agendas, identifying and engaging potential speakers and coordinating with sponsors and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will work primarily on the annual Spectrum financial services conference and seminars organised by FSI, while also assisting with advertising and other commercial opportunities across the Group's publications where required. Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and development of Spectrum conferences and FSI seminars, including researching industry trends, identifying relevant themes and helping to develop agendas and session topics
• Identify, approach and coordinate with suitable speakers, moderators and other industry participants, including senior financial services professionals, regulators and other subject matter experts
• Develop sponsorship opportunities, engage existing and prospective sponsors and assist with securing sponsorship revenue for conferences, seminars and other Group events
• Manage relationships and communications with speakers, sponsors and other event stakeholders, helping to ensure professional delivery before, during and following events
• Work with internal teams and external providers on event promotion, speaker information, programme content, sponsorship requirements and other aspects of conference and seminar delivery
• Support wider commercial activities where required, including identifying cross-selling opportunities and assisting with advertising sales across the Cayman Independent and the Group's specialist publications.

About You

• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in conferences, events, financial services, client relationship management, business development or a related professional role
• Experience in developing and curating topics for business related conferences and events including researching and coordinating with potential speakers.
• Comfortable engaging senior executives, regulators, industry professionals, speakers and sponsors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional correspondence, proposals and event-related content
• Commercially minded with experience in sponsorship, business development or client relationship management
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple events, stakeholders and deadlines simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline would be an advantage.

BENEFITS

Salary: US$60,000 to US$70,000 per annum plus 5% sales commission on any direct sales- Vacation: 15 days Other benefits under Cayman Islands law include 50% of healthcare premiums and 50% towards pension (pension starts after the first 9 months of employment).
