Job Description

Senior Trust Officer TRIDENT TRUST IS A LEADING INDEPENDENT PROVIDER OF CORPORATE, TRUST AND FUND SERVICES TO THE FINANCIAL SERVICES SECTOR WORLDWIDE, EMPLOYING OVER 1,100 STAFF ACROSS A GLOBAL FOOTPRINT THAT SPANS AFRICA, THE AMERICAS, ASIA, THE CARIBBEAN, EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST. The Role The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Corporate and Trusts in the Cayman office as well as reporting duties to APAC office team heads, to deliver industry leading products and services to our personal and corporate trust structures. Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure the accurate set-up of all new trust structures and the transfer-in of existing trust and company appointments.
  • Manage day-to-day administration of trust and company appointments, including the maintenance of trust files, company kits and banking and custody records.
  • Assist the Head of Trust with managing and building relationships with new and existing clients and professional intermediaries.
  • Provide timely and accurate administration for all trust and company appointments, ensuring high quality and accurate service delivery.
  • Issue timely reports, accounts, statements, invoices and replies to client queries.
  • Assist the Head of Trusts with developing, enhancing and training workflows.
  • Continually look to achieve efficiencies in process and procedures used by the team.
  • Liaise with Trident offices in Caribbean, HK and Asia-Pacific on cross-functional trust appointments, regulatory matters, and systems and IT development on as-needed basis.
  • Projects as requested by the Head of Trust and Senior Management Team.

Ensure that the closing of all trust and company appointments are properly dealt with.

  • Attend to client requests to undertake administrative tasks such as preparation of resolutions and minutes and arranging distributions.
  • Obtain appropriate approvals for all transactions and follow company procedures for trust and company administration.
  • Follow compliance guidelines established to safeguard Trident Trust and clients from potential risk exposure and attend to auditors and follow-up on all queries until the audit is completed.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in a trust company, financial institution, legal or accounting firm with direct commercial and private client experience.
  • Experience working within a trust administration team as well as working cross-functionally to deliver on multiple projects across jurisdictions and time zones.
  • STEP qualification.

Skills

  • Familiarity with trust accounting/administration systems.
  • Organized and able to distil requirements into structured output.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with various internal and external constituencies and to independently face off with such groups. Highly organized, detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize, take initiative and bring projects to a conclusion. Ability to effectively use judgment to make decisions and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Follow compliance guidelines established to safeguard Trident Trust and clients from potential risk exposure and attend to auditors and follow-up on all queries until the audit is completed.

Remuneration Salary and benefits offered with respect to the above position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be in the US$95-$120,000 range.
