Contribute to planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning through developmentally appropriate, child-led play and purposeful adult interaction. Use observation and assessment to inform planning, monitor progress and adapt provision for children with special educational needs (SEN). Model high-quality practice, mentor other practitioners, uphold safeguarding and care standards, and communicate children’s progress to families. Able to manage a group of children confidently. Must be highly experienced and confident in caregiving routines, such as diaper changing and feeding. A minimum of four years in play-based early childhood education, including classroom leadership. Demonstrated expertise in child-led and inquiry-based learning, scaffolding and sustained shared thinking. Strong knowledge and experience of SEN, with practical experience implementing individual support strategies, differentiating provision and collaborating with families and specialists. A primary teacher-training diploma or qualification in Primary or Early Childhood Education required. Strong communication skills including written and spoken English, safeguarding and pediatric first aid training essential. Active involvement with the Cayman Islands Early Childhood Association and relevant training in, and understanding of, the OES early childhood inspection framework required.
