Job Summary

The Senior Sales Representative plays a key role in driving sales, enhancing the customer experience, and supporting overall store performance. This individual is responsible for promoting products, managing key customer relationships (including wholesale/retail accounts), training junior staff, and helping to achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, personable, and highly knowledgeable about grocery retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Identify customer needs and offer suitable product recommendations and promotions.
  • Manage key retail and wholesale accounts and support bulk sales inquiries.
  • Monitor stock levels and work with purchasing to ensure adequate inventory of fast-moving items.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, pricing changes, and in-store promotions.
  • Assist with store merchandising, shelf organization, and pricing displays.
  • Analyze daily and weekly sales reports to identify trends and improve performance.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of junior sales staff or cashiers.
  • Handle customer complaints or escalated issues in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in a grocery store or retail sales environment.
  • Knowledge of grocery product categories, pricing strategies, and merchandising best practices.
  • Experience in customer service, retail sales, or food distribution is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use POS systems, inventory software, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or training in business or retail is a plus.

Compensation

Salary is based on experience. Statutory benefits and growth opportunities may also be offered based on performance and tenure.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies and materials (up to 25 lbs.)

Work Schedule

  • Full-time.
  • Flexibility required depending on operational needs.
