Position: Carpenter/Mason Employer: RICHARD THOMAS T/A Monolith Builders Location: Cayman Islands Employment Type: Full-Time About Monolith Builders Monolith Builders is seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and hardworking Carpenter/Mason to join our active construction team. If you have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and a proven track record in both rough/finish carpentry and concrete masonry, we want you on our sites helping us build the future. Duties & Responsibilities Concrete & Masonry Work: Mix, pour, level, and finish concrete. Lay building materials, including concrete blocks and bricks, ensuring precise alignment and structural integrity. Carpentry & Framing: Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboards using hand and power tools. Formwork: Build, set up, and dismantle temporary formwork for concrete structures according to site plans. Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements. Site Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in strict compliance with all local construction safety regulations and company policies. Material Management: Estimate equipment and material requirements for specific daily tasks to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of resources. Skills & Requirements Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of verified professional experience working as a Carpenter, Mason, or in a dual-role construction trade. Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of standard construction methods, materials, hand/power tools, and heavy equipment. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in hot, outdoor weather conditions, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Precision & Quality: Excellent hand-eye coordination and a commitment to delivering high-quality, level, and structurally sound finishes. Communication: Must be able to follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively with the site foreman and team members. Compensation & Benefits (In Accordance with Cayman Islands Labor Law Salary: CI$12.00 per hour (minimum). Working Hours: 40 hours work week. Health Insurance, Pension Plan and Vacation.
